Whenever I think of This Old House is reminds me of my parents. Now this isn't a bad thing but when you are 15 and trying to be "cool" reading your parents "This Old House"magazine was laaaammmmeeee.
BUT of course now that I have my own house ... I have crossed to the dark side. You start dreaming of how you can re-do the bathroom, color the door handles, and paint the entry table. Yes. I live on the wild side.

I have always been a fan of glitter. Princesses, tiaras, sparkly shoes you name it I loved it. ESPECIALLY if it had glitter on it.
I guess little girls and birds are the same. We are attracted to sparkly things.

So when I saw this idea the little girl inside of me just let out a very loud squeal. Don't worry I apologized to all my fellow patrons at Starbucks.

If they only knew I bet they would squeal like little girls too.

My Monday #17 - 3-D Frame

I came up with this idea out of sheer boredom and lack of money. This seems to be when all the creative ideas come out. I tell my crafts...look you guys are all I got. There are no subs. So we have to make this work. Of course they agreed.

So I had this frame. It had no glass but I couldn't bring myself to throw it away. Then I had this other frame with a fun picture from my engagement shoot but I felt it was getting lost on the wall. I was literally sitting in my craft room and happened to stack the smaller frame on top and went hmmm I think I'll glue that. 3-D frame.

Materials:
1. 1 large frame with glass
2. 2 smaller frame with no glass
3. Hot glue
4. Fun memorable picture you would love to highlight

Step 1 - Frame your photo in the large photograph.

Step 2 - Double check the placement of the smaller frame than glue.

Step 3 - Hang on the wall. If it lasts the night you glued well! =)

Total Price - CAN be free if you use what you got but definitely until $10.

I want a chandelier in my bathroom so bad it hurts.

 Every time I get on Pinterest I see amazing beautiful bling hanging from the ceiling and my little Dallas heart just starts to melt. Of course I cannot afford this amazing bling but still I dream. So when I saw this tutorial to make a dollar tree version I had to get out the tissues from happiness.

Warning - it's not as blingy and I'm sure the Queen would not approve but it will just have to do until I am a millionaire. This is the lucky bingo card I can feel it.

I am always a fan of handmade gifts. Maybe this started when I thought it was totally appropriate to make my parents some kind of cardboard creation colored with old crayons...there you go. 

Apparently this only acceptable if you are under 10 years old. Who knew? So this fun creation I think would be super easy to make. 

You could go all Walmart style and get some plastic bowls OR go fancy and go to Goodwill and get some cheap china. Both involve being able to wear sweatpants and no be out of place. You're welcome.

This is a lazy craft. Are you surprised? You shouldn't be by now. I have seriously thought about renaming my blog that ... but when I googled lazy crafter...apparently I am NOT alone.

This obsession with pallets started while trolling around on Craigslist.  I came across this company called PalletSmart who made tables out of pallets. Genious. Eco-Friendly. Totally my kind of thing.

THEN on the same night while trolling around on Pinterest...(I know I need to get out more. This is also an intervention unto myself)... I came across this little gem. 21 ways to repurpose a pallet. It's like the sun shone down and said "You're Welcome." Happy Day.

I love that it's in style now cause before people just thought I dressed like a starburst. Who's laughing now?


So speaking of bright and different - this tutorial hits them both. Take some old spoons and spray paint and wah-lah museum piece form picnic parts.

Being a teacher I have learned to make dry-erase markers my friend.

Now keeping up with the tiny tiny erasers that come with them is something interesting. They are normally thrown, launched, or placed all over my room. With kids if it's not glued down or attached, it flies. 

Can I get an amen? So whoever made this up is a genius. Puffy craft balls and hot glue. Who knew that could make a women sane?
